Salvaging Carpet After Water Damage
A plumbing line broke in this house resulting in a soaked carpet. The water was clean and free of contamination so our SERVPRO crew got right to work vacuuming off most of the water. Rapid water extraction and drying saved the day, along with the carpet. Our team removed the baseboards, drilled weep holes to dry out the lower wall areas, and then "floated the carpet." By forcing warm air under the material. Doing this allowed us to increase the speed of moisture removal from the padding and the subfloor. In this case, we saved our customers money and the need to replace the carpets--much to their delight. Job knowledge and equipment are cornerstones of our SERVPRO service.
